Position Overview:
A leading global manufacturer of CNC cutting machines, including drilling/milling, plasma, fiber laser and oxyfuel processes, has an opening for several Applications Engineers. This highly visible position requires excellent communication skills as there is extensive pre-sale interaction between our sales team, dealers and various departments. In addition, this individual will be called upon to attend trade shows, conduct equipment demonstrations and presentations, and offer technical advice. Applications Engineers also provide after sales support including customer training at client and at the customer’s facility, CAD/CAM training/support, process troubleshooting and operational guidance.
Qualifications / Prerequisites:
* This position requires 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
* A knowledge of cutting equipment, is needed in order to produce sample parts to qualify a new process, test and diagnosis new systems and programming issues, and conduct time studies and analysis
* The successful candidate will be a self-starter, enjoy some travel throughout the continental United States, have an understanding of and exposure to CAD software and CNC programming, and have successfully earned an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field
