A vacancy has arisen at Aircraft Commerce magazine for an aircraft analyst and staff writer. The magazine focuses on technical and economic issues of commercial aircraft. Preferred applicants will have airline or aerospace experience.  

Aircraft Commerce magazine is looking for an enthusiastic person that has a few years experience; or in airline operations, airline management, or an aerospace environment.

Aircraft Commerce is published bi-monthly, and publishes analytical editorial in particular relating to: aircraft operating & economic performance; maintenance & engineering; aircraft selection; airline strategy and fleet planning; flight operations; IT and connectivity systems in aircraft maintenance & airline flight operations; and aircraft operating performance and costs.

The successful applicant will be responsible for researching and writing a portion of the magazine’s technical and aircraft analytical editorial. This will be in the areas of maintenance & engineering, aircraft & airline operations, and IT systems. They will also contribute to developing the publication’s future editorial content.

Article research will include contacting senior airline personnel & industry suppliers, and analysing and examining industry cost, economic and technical data.

Applicants will need to have good communication and writing skills and some experience in an appropriate sector of the airline, aerospace or air transport industries. They will also need to demonstrate a good knowledge of and a keen interest in developing their understanding of the technical and economic performance of aircraft.
