Salary – Competitive, 12% pension, flexi time, bonus and flexible benefits

Our client is a highly successful global aerospace company, due to an internal promotion they are currently looking for an Airworthiness Engineer to provide engineering support to the Airworthiness Manager in delivering the airworthiness functional governance across the company.

The focus is on design and meeting airworthiness/safety standards through development of new products. Therefore part 21 as well as part 145 experience is highly desirable, however our client will be happy to consider part 145 only airworthiness engineers if they are more qualified engineers with development capacity to chartered status.

As a key team member of the Airworthiness team, you will liaise with the Integrated Project Teams, Product Design and Production areas to ensure that the company’s equipment design is ‘fit for operational use in the air ‘. The role is required to apply Airworthiness governance from the start of the design lifecycle stage through to maintaining continued Airworthiness in-service to ensure that appropriate considerations have been made and that specific customer/legislative requirements have been met.

Ideally looking for a candidate from an Aerospace Engineering Design background who has moved into Airworthiness – therefore they will have Part 21 and Part 145 experience. Also looking for someone with calibre/drive to become chartered if they are not already.

  • Undertake shop floor audits to measure ‘as built hardware standard’ against ‘as certified design standard’.
  • Provide airworthiness support (assessment/author) and DDP certification to support airworthiness of the company’s equipment designs.
  • Generate Occurrence Reports to MAA/CAA/FAA/etc as appropriate
