About the role:

Reporting to the Manager Ground Operations, the Sydney based Airport Manager will have extensive knowledge and experience across all areas of airport operations and ground handling services and is responsible for the operational performance and effective management of a portfolio of Airports.

The Airport Manager will work closely with the Ground Handling Agent (GHA), Airport Authorities, CASA, suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs encompassing financial and operational performance, customer service, safety, security and compliance are achieved.

The Airport Manager will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for continual improvement, and for introducing operational efficiencies within the portfolio of airports under their direct control.

Other key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Manage the delivery of ground services for airports under direct control including ensuring that financial, customer service, safety and operational performance targets are achieved or exceeded

* Ensure that the provision of ground services at Tigerair airports is delivered safely and in accordance with Tigerair and CASA approved SOPs, manuals and other regulatory requirements.

* Develop mutually beneficial relationships with the GHA and other key stakeholders

* “Champions Better” by seeking to identify new and innovative ways to safely improve operational performance and enhance the reputation of the Tigerair brand.

Who you are:

To be successful in this role you will have solid experience in stakeholder/contract management ideally within an airline operation. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience in developing business proposals. You will be required to travel at times so flexibility and the ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 environment is required.

Your skills and experience will include:

* Degree qualified preferred however relevant industry experience acceptable;

* Demonstrated experience (preferably within a Ground Operations role within the Aviation Industry) including specific experience:

* Managing staff/contractors within a dynamic, fast pace industry

* Service delivery and or Contract/SLA management;

* Relationship/Stakeholder Management experience

* Operating in a highly regulated environment preferably with exposure to audit/compliance-based activities

* Project Management;

* Able to produce sound results both first hand and through delegation;

* Able to communicate with all levels of management and internal/external stakeholders;

* Flexible, reliable and analytical;

* Attention to Detail;

* Data and trend analysis;

* Problem Solving;

* Interpersonal effectiveness
