Purpose

Note: for the purposes of this document, ‘CX’ A/C or fleet may extend to KA or AHK on individual project basis.

The Aircraft Programmes Manager (Return, Sale & Disposal) is the duty holder for:

To deliver cost effective aircraft or asset (e.g. engine) exit plans, meeting exit or return conditions whilst retaining maximum value to CX.

Key Accountability

Accountable for the delivery of compliant, on time and cost-effective fleet exit programmes. To ensure aircraft exiting the fleet meet contractual conditions for lease return; sale or disposal whilst retaining maximum value to CX.

Key Responsibilities

Duty holder responsibilities include;

* To own and co-ordinate all aircraft exit or transfer programmes to/from CX.

* Delivery of cost-effective exit plans, meeting exit or return conditions whilst retaining maximum value to CX.

* To co-ordinate and manage A/C exit from end-revenue operations to de-registration.

* Assign Project Managers as required; ensure Lean deployment and utilisation of all resources across all team functions.

* To provide supporting data for FSG and Core Team (APD-ALP-CGO) decision making. To validate that FSG and Core Team strategy on fleet plans can be executed.

Section responsibilities include;

* Execute cost effective fleet exit plans: ensure maximum value is retained by CX whilst meeting exit conditions.

* To execute other surplus (corporate) asset disposals (e.g. engines)

Management responsibilities include;

* Manage staff and team performance by setting up effective competencies and SMART Goals, and personal development / career plans.

* Strong leadership and leading by example. Ensure the team embrace the ‘Time To Win’ strategy and Engineering Strategy-on-a-Page

* Develop a sectional scorecard to measure the performance of Fleet Programmes

* Staff development through coaching, on-job-training, and internal / external training.

* LEAN deployment and utilisation of resources across all team and section functions

Minimum Requirements / Experience

* Minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering. Relevant experience in managing fleet programmes.

* Degree in Engineering / Aerospace discipline or Aircraft Maintenance Licence holder or other comparable qualification.

* Proven experience in supervising and managing complex projects and cross functional teams

* Strong leadership skills. Proven ability to manage across departments; OEMs; lessors and suppliers.

* Strong in communication, influencing and negotiation skills

* Strong drive for excellence.

* Adaptable and responsive to change. Demonstrate ability to drive change.

* Proven ability to drive and manage multi-skilled teams.
