Job Title: Aircraft Electrical Planner

MPI require Aircraft Electrical Planners for future work in the Chester area.

MUST HOLD CURRENT MOD SECURITY CLEARANCE


Applicants must have served an Aircraft Apprenticeship and have copies of your papers.

Must have valid Human Factors.

Security Clearance is required for this position.

Approx 37 hours per week (possible overtime - not guaranteed)

Will initially be working days, but may then be required to work shifts.

Rates of pay to be discussed upon application

Summary of Role:
To convert data into manufacturing instructions through the release of Planning Engineering Tickets.
Ensures compliance with DA specifications, tooling requirements, airworthiness regulatory and quality standards set by the company

Main Duties:
To ensure that all instructions raised are technically correct and meet all regulatory requirements/company procedures and are planned in the most cost effective manner, taking into account build sequencing and assembly methodologies.
To respond to queries raised, quickly and efficiently, whilst fully documenting and maintaining records of any changes made to the relevant operations databases, to ensure accountability and traceability by the company, customer and any outside authorities.
The job holder will be the key liaison with all areas of the business to ensure that all engineering issues/concerns are resolved quickly and efficiently.
The job holder will be technically responsible for planning, shop and project engineering tasks and will also oversee the day to day activities of prioritising and scheduling tasks to meet programme requirements.
To maintain accurately the aircraft Bill of Material in line with the design drawings and any ongoing approved configuration changes.
The job holder will expeditiously resolve any queries raised, so as to minimise programme impact, by authorising tool modification or rectification work as deemed necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
Completion of approved base training and qualified to at least HNC Engineering Certificate standard or OR
A practical knowledge & understanding of aircraft metrology equipment would be an advantage but not essential to the position

Desirable:
Desirable criteria can include further information on qualification/education, experience, personal skills or specific domain knowledge. A suitable candidate may only have some experience in the following and still be considered
