MPI Limited are looking for Aircraft Mechanical Technical Instructors at the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering, MOD Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 4XX.

 

This is an ongoing contract (although this can not be guaranteed), working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year, paying £26.60 per hour Ltd / £21.13 per hour PAYE.

 

The successful candidates will be responsible to the Aircraft Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the aircraft discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

 

Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship (or a relevant alternative period of training) and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Airframe/Engineering Trade Discipline.

 

Candidates should have at least 5 years practical experience in their trade and have previous experience as a trainer/instructor in a classroom environment.

 

The successful applicant will be asked to apply for an Enhanced DBS Certificate which will be actioned on site after a job offer is made and they will be required to complete MOD BPSS Security Clearance forms.
