We employ over 900 qualified Aircraft Mechanics across the United States and overseas. A new contract award has prompted the opportunity for an experienced CH-53 Super Stallion Aircraft Mechanic III, Maintenance Controller to support our Contractor Field Team (CFT) at MCAS Miramar, CA.

Description

* Assist team lead in planning, organizing, directing, and managing the maintenance and repairs of the aircraft, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment.
* Informs team lead of work progress and advises on matters pertaining to maintenance and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment.
* Directs and monitors requisitioning, receipt, and allocations of materials, tools, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment.
* Ensures all aircraft, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment maintenance data is collected and properly disseminated.
* Ensures compliance with applicable technical publications through the maintenance instruction manuals for the CH-53E aircraft, associated systems, aeronautical components, and aviation equipment.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent
* A minimum of 6 years of aviation maintenance experience, with at least 2 years of experience with the Ch-53 aircraft
* Possess a strong knowledge base of Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), maintenance publications, orders, and directives
* Must have previous maintenance control experience (at least 3 years) with knowledge on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural, communication and navigation systems and all subsystems pertaining to the CH-53E helicopter.
* Must have successfully completed the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Maintenance Activity Course

Physical Demands

* Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.

Work Environment (ADA)

* May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.

Security Clearance

* This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Favorable government clearance. This will require the ability to pass an in-depth background investigation.
