STS Technical Services is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructors to support the Training Manager with developing and conducting technical training programs to support maintenance operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment

* Develops, maintains and teaches maintenance training courses in accordance with the accepted training program

* Develops and maintains technical training aids and material

* Ensures that maintenance training courses under his/her control will be technically accurate, up-to-date, and clearly relevant to the student’s every day work

* Recommends changes to existing maintenance training programs

* Maintains curriculums in accordance with IATA, CFR 49, OSHA, FAR, DOT, and EPA

* Updates and maintains training records for new hire and current maintenance employees

* Ensures that all specified policies, practices, and procedures are complied with, and follow Company policies and procedures for completion of assigned duties

* Attendance is considered an essential responsibility

Supervision Received:

* Follows routine procedures or general direction immediate supervisor. Work is judged primarily on overall results with significant latitude in choice of methods

Contact with others:

* Frequent telephone, electronic communications and personal contact with co-workers and employees

Judgment/Initiative:

* Requires moderate level of judgment to ensure that maintenance training is in compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures

* Maintenance Offices

* Classrooms

* Aircraft Maintenance Facilities

* Occasional to Frequent travel required

* Majority of time spent at low activity level, i.e., sitting

* Occasional standing/walking/movement required Exposure to net weighted average of 85 dB from jet engine noise

* AS 400 System

* Authorware

* Calculator

* FAX machine

* Personal Computer

* Photocopier

* Smartboard

* Telephone

Education/Experience:

* The ideal candidate will possess a FAA Airframe and Power plant Certificate

* Associates or Bachelor degree in Education or Aviation related fields

* Two to four years of experience in teaching/instruction

* Experience in an Air Carrier Part 121 maintenance organization

* Canadair CRJ-200 aircraft technical experience

* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word programs

* Knowledge of web-based development tools

* Excellent communication and organizational skills

* Ability to handle multiple tasks/interruptions
