MPI require Aircraft Maintenance Planners for future work in the Chester area. No Start date at this time.

Applicants must have served an Aircraft Apprenticeship and have copies of your papers.

Must have valid Human Factors.

Security Clearance is required for this position.

Approx 37 hours per week (possible overtime - not guaranteed)

Will initially be working days, but may then be required to work shifts.

£30.15 per hour LTD Days/£23.37 per hour PAYE Days

Tasks:
Main task is to receive design data and convert it into planning tickets for the shop floor to carry out. This involves accessing erooms to analyse drawings, design change notes, and any associated documents such as design office instructions (DOIs), service bulletins, and wiring diagrams to ensure the ticket has all the necessary technical data to carry out the task.

To ensure that all instructions raised are technically correct and meet all regulatory requirements/company procedures and are planned in the most cost effective manner, taking into account build sequencing and assembly methodologies.

The job holder will be the key liaison with all areas of the business to ensure that all engineering issues/concerns are resolved quickly and efficiently. To maintain accurately the aircraft Bill of Material in line with the design drawings and any ongoing approved configuration changes.

Any issues raised by the Customer often end up as a works query note into design so this is something that you will create.

You will also access Company manuals and IPC (illustrated parts catalogue)

You will also be required to produce workpacks to support works orders which come via the customer support manager on site. This means assessing a large package of work and breaking down into task cards and supporting documentation, plus any associated tooling and consumables to complete the tasks, which involves working closely with the MRP controller, supply chain and stores.

Anyone looking to apply would need a good solid knowledge of planning, previous experience on SAP, microsoft Excel, and the usual email / powerpoint etc packages. Attention to detail is required.

Essential:
Completion of approved base training and qualified to at least HNC Engineering Certificate standard or OR
A practical knowledge & understanding of aircraft metrology equipment would be an advantage but not essential to the position

Desirable criteria can include further information on qualification/education, experience, personal skills or specific domain knowledge. A suitable candidate may only have some experience in the following and still be considered suitable.
