Honeywell Aerospace products, services and digital environments collect millions of events per day and as a data driven company believe our data has great stories to tell us. As such, we are investing heavily in our data science capabilities and establishing a Data Science & Analytics team, chartered to build our predictive analytics capabilities for condition monitoring, predictive aircraft maintenance, optimize product performance & build recommendation systems for end customers. The system will ingest machine data from various aircraft systems, maintenance and other operations data including unstructured data, use machine learning and advanced analytics techniques to identify and predict failure patterns and provide recommendations to end customers to avoid unplanned maintenance.

As the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing alerts generated by our predictive models and determine the appropriate maintenance actions to be sent to our customers. You will regularly review data coming from aircraft systems and customers, identify abnormal data trends, and work with Honeywell teams and/or customers’ teams to prevent unscheduled events from causing operational disruptions. You will also work with data scientists to investigate inaccurate exceptions generated by the predictive models. You may be required to participate in regular technical meetings with customers to answer questions they may have regarding our analytics offerings.

Role Responsibilities:

* Review alerts and determine the appropriate actions (maintenance or troubleshooting) for each alert generated by our predictive data models
* Analyzed maintenance logs to identify the right fix for systems/components issues
* Investigate abnormal data trends and suggest appropriate maintenance recommendations to customers prior to product failures
* Work with data scientists to fine-tune/update underperforming predictive data models
* Follow up with service delivery managers and/or customers’ maintenance teams to ensure that actions are implemented within the suggested timeframe
* Subject matter experts in identifying abnormal data trends, reviewing and validating the accuracy of predictive alerts, and determining the right actions for each alert

You Must Have:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, or other related fields
* 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting and resolving aircraft issues
* 2+ years of experience in condition/trending monitoring, failure prediction or similar analytics applications in Aerospace industry
* 2+ years of experience in aircraft systems and datasets

We Value:

* Engineering background with problem solving, ability to draw clear connections between data modeling activities and machine / component failure
* Experience working in airline maintenance teams
* Good knowledge in flight data, ACARS data, ACMS data,
* Experience working with data scientists
* In-depth knowledge in aircraft systems, maintenance data, systems trouble shooting, maintenance procedures, and airline operations
* Self-starter with the passion in working and analyzing data
* Strong customer focus, strong communicator
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Results driven with excellent business acumen
* Travel 20%
