Aircraft Interior Technician (Finish Department)

Flying Colours Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician (Finish Department). This position is located in Peterborough, ON, CA.

Job Description
Interior Finish Technicians are responsible for sanding and applying lacquer and clear coat finishes to various components for the interior of the aircraft during refurbishment such as cabinets, galleys, lavatories, wardrobes, tables, etc. In addition to working with wood components and high-grade veneers, technicians will also work with composite and other light-weight materials.

Qualifications
There will be some on-the-job training; however, it is expected that applicants will have 3-5 years of prior finishing experience. Preference given to candidates with additional trade certification or education in woodworking, woodwork manufacturing or millwork. In addition, applicants should have the following skills:

* Strong attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to finish materials to a high-level of quality
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings is required
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Team player.

Work Hours

Monday-Sunday Rotational Schedule (Assigned to work two weekends within a six week rotation)

Weekday Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Weekend Hours: Friday-Monday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
