Job Title: Aircraft Fitters (Gazelle, Puma, Tucano, Hawk)

£20.00 PER HOUR Limited Company

Immediate start (subject to security clearance) 6 months contract, overtime available hours not guaranteed.

In addition to the hourly rates of pay a retention bonus amount equivalent to £1.00 per hour will be payable for each hour worked upon satisfactory completion of the Contract up to 6 months from commencement of contract date.

This accrued retention bonus is not part of the remuneration payment for work done on an hourly basis but that it is as described, a loyalty/termination bonus in relation to working on the Qinetic Contract through the entirety of the Project and as such is not guaranteed if you leave prior to completion. MPI, nor our client, are not holding any earned monies owed to you but are administering a retaining related accrual bonus scheme.


JOB DESCRIPTION
Carries out maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft and aircraft components within trade specialisation
• Works within competencies and authorisations as agreed with department management
•Is supervised by an appropriate Task Manager / Chargehand, works within limits of instructions given by that supervisor, and advises him/her of any matters arising outside the agreed parameters
•Ensures approved tools and equipment provided is used for the proper purpose and applies local Tool Control regime
•Conducts peer training when required, within competency range
•Each work area will have specific Health & Safety, Quality and Security instructions and protocols, ensures app applicable aspects are observed on task
•Works flexibly when given work within competency and experience
•Completes accurate Resource Recording returns within local time limits
•Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing customer requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Apprenticeship in an aircraft engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
* NVQs in engineering, or equivalent
* Human Factors experience
* Qualification courses on aircraft type or associated
* Good people management skills
* Good team working skills
* Good communications skills
* Computer literate, and familiarity with specific aircraft maintenance systems

Apprenticeship in Aero / Engineering (Certificate)

Be able to achieve a BPSS with progression to SC
