ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Electronics Technician to support our Contractor Field Team at Hill Air Force Base. This position will require the ability to pass an in-depth government background check prior to beginning work. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Electronics Technician III applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manual, or similar document. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequences, in selecting tools, and testing equipment. Tasking may include: * Fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and equipment associated with electronic systems functionality. * Operating software controlled automated test stations to maintain and repair a variety of line replaceable units (LRUs) * Working with dense and complex circuitry such as microminiaturized integrated circuits on multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCB) Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent is required * 2 years of experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics, and electrical systems (GAC, Com/Nav, EW, Sensors, Elect Env, and Aircraft electrician) * Must have experience with electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, avionics boxes and chassis’ using common and specialized hand tools, power tool, and applicable test equipment * Requires the ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, schematics and drawings * Must be able to able to work a day, swing or mid-shift schedule Physical Demands Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance. Work Environment (ADA) May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable. Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
