Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Aerospace Structures Project Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Individual will manage space systems projects, focused on aerospace structures and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), throughout the project lifecycle. This includes design, analysis, qualification testing, and manufacturing. Projects may include both Dynetics and customer developed hardware for aerospace applications including launch systems, test equipment, and GSE for commercial, civil, and defense markets.
Duties include project planning and control, resource management, business development, proposal support, and cost estimating. The candidate will serve as a primary customer interface, requiring travel to customer locations. The primary work will be performed at Dynetics corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL and our new Aerospace Structures Complex in Decatur, AL.
Basic Qualifications
Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in design and development of hardware systems (for aerospace or military applications) AND at least 2 years in project management related assignments.
Demonstrated experience managing projects to cost and schedule baselines
Other Qualifications
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams—design/system engineers, analysts, manufacturing, project management, and customer representatives
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with AS9100 quality systems desired
Security Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
