RBC Bearings is a well known international manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered precision plain, roller and ball bearings. We have been providing bearing solutions to our customers since 1919. Over the past ten years, under the leadership of our current management team, RBC Bearings has significantly broadened our end markets, products, customer base and geographic reach. We currently have 43 facilities, of which 36 are manufacturing facilities, in 6 countries. Our selling efforts are supported by a global network of sales engineers, distributors and authorized agents.
RBC Southwest Products, a subsidiary of RBC Bearings located in Baldwin, Park, CA, currently seeks a hands-on, experienced Quality Engineer to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for but not limited to:
* QE support of Prime Customers for first articles and corrective action.
* Reviewing contracts, specifications, purchase orders, and planning.
* Planning and implementing quality initiatives throughout the organization.
* Recommending, reviewing & approving changes to manufacturing plans & drawings based on customer requirements.
* Performing internal & external audits.
* Participating in RCCA investigations as required.
* Assisting with training of the RBC Divisions in regards to Customer and Quality System.
Ideal Candidate:
* Individual have a minimum of 3 years as a Quality Engineer in a related
* Working knowledge of FAA/PMA;
* Hands-on working knowledge of ASME Y14.5;
* Experience working with customers such at GE, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, etc preferred.
* Experience with Plating, Heat Treat & Welding Processes preferred;
* Prior experience in representing a Company to customers on-site or at the customer is preferred;
* Strong written and oral communications skills;
* Ability to travel to customers and work flexible hours as necessary;
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office products;
* Practical experience in precision inspection equipment and calibration;
* Knowledge in aerospace materials;
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired but not required;
* Must enjoy the challenges of working in the fast pace, sometimes demanding Aerospace World.
