Your responsibilities will include:

This outstanding opportunity offers the chance to take charge and be hands on to own the operational administration capability, drive change, improve process and manage a national team.

This is a senior position within Lockheed Martin requiring a high level of drive to oversee a wide range of administrative functions and delivery of effective administrative services and systems. With assistance from the team, there will be a small requirement to provide Executive Administration support to the General Manager and Vice President. This includes diary and email management.

Other day to day responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the delivery of effective administrative services and systems by identifying needs, evaluating options and devising ways to streamline processes
* Continuously drive process improvement and excellence
* Deliver a high level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to administrative activities
* Oversee a wide range of administrative functions including but not limited to: setting up and maintaining good filing systems; diary management; coordination of office supplies; correspondence receipt, referrals, and response; travel coordination; arranging meetings and conferences; and support for rostering /scheduling activities
* Guide continuity across the company by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
* Providing a significant contribution to the creation of an effective workplace culture which recognises and values both individual and team contributions to organisational effectiveness
* Leading and mentoring individuals to achieve their potential, effectively maximising their contribution to the achievement of goals
* Proactively undertaking all people management practices, workforce planning; induction and probationary reviews of new employees; timely management of performance issues; coaching, mentoring, and development of employees and annual salary review process
* Actively support business growth opportunities to ensure adequate planning and estimating are performed and that relevant documentation is produced for the administrative capability aspects
* Ensure the delivery of preparing and maintaining records of reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals and other correspondence
* Work collaboratively across the business to achieve successful outcomes

About you:

* Significant experience in an administrative position in a management/team leader capacity
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) including an ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation
* Ability to break down complex issues, problem solve and interface effectively with management and staff at all levels
* Strong leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to manage through influence and form creative partnerships to identify issues, drive innovation, obtain consensus in order to achieve business objectives
* Proven ability to operate and manage virtually within a matrix organization, with the ability to drive and implement change
* Solid skills in MS Office Suite and SharePoint

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
