JOB SUMMARY

This full time, hourly non-exempt position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing and performing overhauls and testing accessory components. This position also performs general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of landing gear, systems and components on a variety of engines, using personal protection equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications, in a safe and clean work environment. Duties also include preparing and signing off on various documents for “Return to Service” and recordkeeping purposes. Will be required to work with products and materials associated with component maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform overhauls or repairs on a wide variety of different airframe components.

Perform overhauls or repairs on Challenger, Hawker, Learjet, King Air Landing Gear.

Troubleshoot and assist in repairing / inspecting different airframe components.

*

Utilize and consistently learn new procedures on approved overhaul / repairs.

*

Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.

*

Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.

*

Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.

Associates Degree in related field (aviation or maintenance mechanic) or equivalent preferred.

Airframe and Powerplant License a plus but not required.

ExperienceAccessory experience preferred, but not essential.

Landing Gear Overhaul/Repair preferred.

Previous mechanic experience required.

A&P Mechanic license helpful, but not required.

InitiativeSelf-motivated and maintains a rapid pace.

ResponsibilityAttend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Must have unquestioned integrity.

Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.

Maintain customer oriented work habits.

Customers and / or outside vendors.

Physical RequirementsLift at least 50 lbs.

Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.

Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.

Mental RequirementsUnderstanding and implementation of regulations.

Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.

Work with others in a professional manner.

SupervisionMay be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Will work under supervision of Accessory Program Manager.

Working ConditionsThe majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.

Outside work will occur.

Equipment UsedPersonal hand tools supplied by the technician.

Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.

Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.

Tugs, power cards and other engine powered equipment.
