Job Description

Electronic Warfare (EW) Mission Data Engineer will support the 53d Electronic Warfare Group (EWG) at the Eglin AFB, Florida. Emphasis of this position is ALE-47 support.

Essential Job Functions:

The Electronic Warfare Mission Data (MD) Engineer will apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems and plan for future technologies.

The MD Engineer will support EW system improvements and the development of Mission Data for the Combat Air Forces Electronic Warfare and defensive systems of aircraft, including radar warning receivers, ECM jammers, ECM dispenser systems and Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD).

Develop and update threat databases using EWIR tools.

Design and use computer-based tools to flag and extract threat system parametrics for analysis.

Generate optimized EW Mission Data (MD) software files.

Perform rapid reprogramming of fielded MD in response to adversary threat changes.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelors of Science Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, with minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Note: Position level will be commiserate with years of experience.

Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Strong writing and communication skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Desired Skills:

Electronic Warfare Systems experience.

Electronic Warfare Mission Data software production/modification.

Experience in Airborne Electronic Combat, using Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), developing operationally suitable mission data to support electronic combat systems.

Skilled in the application of engineering expertise specific to electronic warfare systems theory and equipment operation specific to radar, radar warning receivers, missile warning systems, active countermeasures, RF and IR expendable systems, fundamentals of aircraft avionics, and systems integration to assist teams in designing and conducting comprehensive studies, and developing solutions to problems.

Skills and attributes associated with this position include: EW and the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum, computer software, threat warning, radio frequency (RF) jammers, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) jammers, expendables, threat analysis, foreign/US radar/weapon systems, airborne EW computer software, avionics, systems integration, electronic engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to a broad range of engineering assignments.
