POSITION SUMMARY
Flexjet is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Material Services team as a Warranty Analyst in Cleveland, Ohio.  This position is responsible for the maximizing warranty recovery utilizing technical knowledge and all resources for New Aircraft and Components to ensure maximum benefit and loss prevention. The Warranty Analyst reports directly to the Cost Recovery Maint & Inv Analysis Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare warranty claims and forward to appropriate suppliers
  • Challenge warranty denials on a technical or contractual basis; interpret and administer contract warranty terms
  • Exercise interdepartmental communications to facilitate warranty claims 
  • Assist Purchasing in preparing and negotiating warranty terms and conditions
  • Work closely with client areas to promptly and expeditiously resolve warranty issues
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities and control inflationary effects through negotiations. 
  • Utilize spreadsheets and graphing software to evaluate departmental performance
  • Update claim information to department databases
  • Coordinate with other internal departments while conducting project analysis
  • Mediate problems between suppliers and user groups
  • Prepare and present analysis and recommend solutions to Flexjet and suppliers
  • Negotiate warranty claims independently or with a team as appropriate and within authority level
  • Travel independently to conduct supplier visits and meet with user group
  • Perform contract administration by monitoring, evaluating and managing supplier performance to ensure user specifications, operational requirements and agreed to terms and conditions are met 
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Identify and recommend process and quality improvements within the department
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma; two years of experience in contract administration and/or purchasing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of aircraft systems

  • Require excellent negotiating and analytical skills
  • Successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self directed, proactive individual who works effectively under pressure and time constraints with the ability to multi-task and work within a team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, professionalism, and fanatical attention to detail 
  • Required to meet deadlines, must be comfortable prioritizing tasks, demonstrate flexibility, display a strong work ethic, and sense of urgency
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to obtain a high level of familiarity quickly 
  • Must be able to perform very detailed work, with proficiency in analyzing and understanding technical manuals and documents
  • Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends and overtime as required
