Reporting to the Senior Stores Supervisor, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for assisting the Stores Team based at Leeds Bradford Airport with the delivery of Aircraft parts and goods to Jet2.com bases.
The Warehouse Operative will be required to use company vehicles for transporting aircraft parts, engineering equipment and company materials to any of our UK bases in addition to suppliers and repair vendors as required. You will also be responsible the daily maintenance of Stores Vehicles and inspection prior to use with any defects being reported and documented immediately. Additionally, the Warehouse Operative will assist with duties in Stores as directed. This position is a 6 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will have a background driving commercial vehicles within a Stores, Freight, Aviation, or Logistics environment. You will have excellent organisation skills and the ability to ensure a clean and tidy work environment at all times. The Warehouse Operative will have a clean driving license and ideally be able to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. The role will involve working within secure airport areas which require an airside pass, therefore you must be willing to successfully complete a criminal records check and 5 year work history check.
