VP Human Resources & Organizational Performance

SAS is looking for a VP Human Resources & Organizational Performance who can lead both operational and strategic aspects of HR in a larger organization; ranging from KPIs / statistics to organizational development.

The VP HR & Organizational Performance, will be a key member of the SAS HR management team and part of the Chief of Staff’s management team. S/he is expected to contribute to the strategic discussion, teamwork and to develop and deliver best-in-class performance within all areas of Human Resources. The appointee will lead the HR Partner organization and also serve as a trusted advisor to the EVP of CoS and SAS senior management. This role is, together with the other Vice Presidents in Human Resources function, responsible for securing the full functional excellence of HR.

The VP HR & Organizational Performance, will report to the EVP Chief of Staff manage a HR Partner organization of 23-25 employees and have a number of direct reports .The SAS HR organization is mainly organized in the three Scandinavian countries but there is also an international SAS HR organization operational in Asia, US and Europe.

EXAMPLE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Add value to business decisions and lead a high-performing HR Partner organization by providing effective leadership as the company’s principal architect of human resources strategy, organizational culture and design

• Define and implement a best-in-class human resources plan (people plan) to support the overall business strategy and drive the transformation of the business

• Build a culture of high engagement & performance

• Ensure right talent and organizational efficiency

• Liaison with Unions and Work councils and support management in bargaining and collective agreements together with IR and local management

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 10 years’ experience of successfully driving results in HR, primarily as a business partner in preferably an international environment

• A university degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

• Fluency in English with additional Scandinavian languages being considered a plus

• Experience of establishing efficient and adequate processes, roles and capabilities to add value

• Experience from HR management –most recently from equivalent Head of HR role or possibly divisional / director position in large organization

• Experience from leading an organization undergoing transformation and change, including proven ability to translate innovative strategies and metrics-based evidence into action

Additionally, a track record of working as a business partner and strategic advisor to management in both support functions, headquarter functions (white-collar) and also operational units with large collective employed groups.
