VP Corporate Communications Qatar Airways Doha

In this role you will be responsible for developing the QR Group communication strategy under the direction of the SVP Marketing & Corporate Communications. You will also be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of corporate communications.  As well public and media relations activities related to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and QR Group leadership. The core goal will be to promote, protect and enhance the overall public perception of the QR Group by leveraging bought and earned media opportunities. 

About you

In order to be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing and 10+ years of experience in a related field. A Master’s Degree in Public Relations or Communications would be preferred.

Previous experience developing various communications programs within an airline industry and hands on experience with crisis management as well as relationships with media and field agencies is ideal to this role. A strong focus on public relations and corporate strategy communications is also preferred. 

You will need to have proven ability to negotiate at all levels and work within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment. The ability to build relationships with key members of media, agencies, journalist and internal stakeholders are also skills necessary to your success in the role.
