The Benefits Administrator is responsible for performing a variety of functions associated with the organization’s employee benefits programs, including the distribution and dissemination of information regarding health, wellness, and retirement programs to employees in order to support the growth of the business and overall mission. The incumbent will administer and maintain company benefits programs, inform and advise employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage and provisions, and compile and maintain benefits records and documentation.

JOB TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer the processing and effectiveness of all Health Care plans to include Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.

• Administer the Life Insurance Plans to include Life, AD&D, Voluntary Life, etc.

• Administer the Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts Plans.

• Assist in the administration of the 401k Plan.

• Assists with the annual Open Enrollment process.

• Explain benefit programs to employees and make presentations in new employee Orientation Programs.

• Answer employee benefit questions and assist to rectify issues.

• Administer and manage wellness programs to ensure outcome based goals are achieved.

• Assists employees in the annual or new hire enrollment process and in the completion of other employee benefits materials.

• Inputs benefits data into HRIS and related HR software applications.

• Reviews enrollment forms and other benefit documents for accuracy and completeness and forwards materials to appropriate carriers as needed.

• Assists employees with life events whether to enroll, change status, or terminate employee benefit plan participation.

• Serves as a liaison to insurance carriers regarding claim problems, issues, and concerns confronting employee participants.

• Establishes and maintains files and records pertaining to all respective programs and participants.

• Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

• Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

Physical Requirements: Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat/cold. Must be able to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration +(2) years in Benefits Administration OR Education/Experience Equivalent, a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in employee benefit and wellness programs.

• Ability to work with large volumes of statistical and confidential information.

• High degree of written and verbal skills to communicate information to employees, management, providers, brokers, carriers, etc.

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with a working knowledge of HRIS systems.

• Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).

• Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.

• The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.

• Some travel will be required.

• Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
