ABOUT THE ROLE
Job purpose:
The Marshall Trim Bay at RAF Brize Norton has a vacancy for a Technician to carry out maintenance of C-130 aircraft fabric trim components.
Their primary duty will be the manufacture and repair of insulation blankets, crew seat, bunk covers, Troop/Para Seat assemblies and any canvas or soft material items such as canvas bags, covers, engine blanks as requested by the customer. Additionally on aircraft tasks including replacement of fabric patches are an integral part of this role.

ABOUT YOU
At a minimum, Candidates should offer relevant experience of aircraft fabric trim manufacture and/or repair and have undertaken a formal training programme in a relevant upholstery discipline.
A sound working knowledge of RAF Engineering practices, procedures and Aircraft Publications system would be an advantage.
This position requires working permanent days in support of customer requirements.
Candidates must:
- Be able to work in a small team;
- Ensure all quality and regulatory requirements and standards are maintained;
- Possess a working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
- An ability to work at height on aircraft structure is required by the candidate.
