Training Coordinator Flight Operations

Job Objective

Provides support and operational continuity to the Flight Operations Training department in the swift administration and organisation of the Crew Training Department.

Maps out flight operations training plans and schedules and liaises with the rostering department and suppliers for planning of flight simulators, instructors, examiners, and cockpit and cabin crew.

Monitors the qualification expiry dates and ensures timely planning of training or medical check to ensure operational continuity.

Manages the cockpit and cabin crew personal training files and is responsible for record completeness, record transparency and auditing towards the civil aviation authorities.

Markets available training opportunities to crewmembers and provides necessary information.

Key Result Areas

* Map out annual training program for flight operations and prepare teaching plans in order to have the required flight crew resources ready according to operational needs.

* Is responsible for the records of all Cockpit and Cabin Crew qualification and proficiency related documents and certificates. Conducts the yearly records audit together with the civil aviation authorities.

* Calendar management of the entire Training Management department in order to have a fluent and well-working organisation:

* Agenda management of Training Manager and his/her direct reports

* Organisation of the entire Flight and Cabin crew’s medical check, in close cooperation with the Crew Scheduling Department and the Medical Services. Liaises with the Internal Safety Prevention Advisor to monitor operations and ensure a pro-active approach of supplier management.

* Organisation of external assessment centres.

* Liaises between the different internal and external training stakeholders including but not limited to Flight Crew Leasing Companies, suppliers and BCAA.

* Organisation of the selection process for external pilot hiring and follow-up of selection and recruitment campaign in collaboration with Flight Operations and HR.

* Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session; suggest improvement actions towards the flight operations training manager and follow-up on its implementation. Pro-actively looks for continuous improvement and further development of departmental processes and organisation, with an eye for cost reduction and efficiency. In this respect, translates recommendations into internal working procedures and supervises correct implementation towards his/her team members.

* Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPI’s.

* Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials. Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.

Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.

Your Profile

* Bachelor with 2 years of experience, preferably in a training environment

* English, Dutch, French knowledge;

* Proficiency in MS Office;

* Knowledge of in-company and regulatory legislation and procedures;

* Good knowledge of internal flight crewmembers promotion regulations;

* Good understanding and knowledge of training needs, planning guidelines and simulator contracts;

* Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools;

* Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques;

* Experience with e-learning platforms;

* Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role;

* Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting.

* Strong communication skills;

* Sound decision making and organisational skills;

* Ability to present complex information in a comprehensive manner.
