Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Training and Development Manager, the Training Coordinator will work with the team and internal departments to source and deliver effective learning solutions to meet the business requirements. The Training Coordinator is the administrator of the Learning Management System and the first point of contact for service tickets for a diverse customer base over multiple locations and departments.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Coordinate and deliver training (Classroom, self-study, WBT, OJT) on topics including OH&S, orientation, technical and Airworthiness topics with internal and external facilitators, following established process.

* Maintain training classroom facilities, equipment and supplies.

* Provide administrative support within the Learning Management Systems, including creating and maintaining certifications, uploading content, creating and assigning courses and classes, updating records, and reporting.

* Work with the team to develop, communicate, and maintain training schedules.

* Control internal training materials in accordance with established process

* Coordinate self-study and testing for certifications and qualifications.

* Identify training certification and recertification needs and plan solutions accordingly.

* Coordinate training registration, notification, attendance, record keeping, invoicing etc.

Position Requirements:

* Education and/or experience in Information Technology, Human Resources or Training and Development considered a strong asset.

* Strong technical skills, experience in Saba LMS, Storyline, Captivate and JD Edwards would be an asset

* Clear and effective in communicating information to others.

* Skilful and tactful in dealing with others and contributes to team goals in a positive fashion. Able to adapt to a broad range of employees at all levels of the organization.

* Able to adapt to unanticipated changes and work under pressure.

* Shows initiative and offers constructive ideas to improve procedures and efficiency.

* Experience in presentation skills in a learner centered environment.

* Proficient in the use of MS Office,

* Experience in training delivery for a production/technical organization would be considered an asset.

* Demonstrates a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.

* Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities in your area.

* Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
