ZENETEX has become a major force in the field of aircraft maintenance. We proudly support all branches of our U.S. military in performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level aircraft, ground vehicle, and component maintenance. In support of future work at NAS Whidbey Island, we are reviewing resumes for the position of Tools and Parts Attendant. This is a contingent position - actual employment will be dictated by contract award. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be contacted by a member of our recruiting team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment * Maintains records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searching for lost or misplaced tools when required * Prepares periodic inventory and/or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed * Unpacks and stores new equipment * Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors * Coats tools with grease or other preservative using a brush or spray gun * Attaches identification tags, or engraves identifying information, on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool Education and Experience Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent is required * Completion of a specialized training school is desirable * One (1) or more years’ experience as a tool and parts clerk preferred * Maintenance, mechanic, or general tool experience preferred * Specialized training or tool room experience preferred * Must be able to work day, swing and/or mid-shifts Physical Demands * Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance. Work Environment (ADA) * May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable. Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
