We are currently recruiting for a Highly skilled Painter/Prepper for our prestigious defence and space client based in Stevenage. This position involves working in some top projects that have helped revolutionise surveillance from Space.

This is a 6 month contract initially but has the potential to go on longer. The pay rate is £19 per hour LTD whilst on day shift but you will most likely be working a double day shift pattern. 6am-2pm one week, 2pm-10pm the following which will entice a 20% uplift, £22.80 per hour LTD.

Specific Job Profile

Heat Pipe machined area deburring and surface treatment with Brush Alocrom.
Heater position and bonding of Thermal Coax Heater,
Ty Base Installation
Foil Heater Installation and Anchor Nut Installation


Experience

Essential
Ability to work from detailed drawings and electronic work instructions - within specific procedures
Knowledge of satellite structure assemblies or similar
Experience working to procedures with checkpoints/quality gates
Previous experience in other industries such as Aerospace mechanical fitter, close tolerance sheet metal worker, time served mechanical technician
Experience in industries such as Space/Aerospace/Automotive/Motorsport etc.
Ability to work in confined spaces above floor level

Clean room experience
