Our products have extensive applications in the following industrial segments: glass, furnace, cutting, coatings, waste to energy, alternate energy and other applications requiring precise control of power for mission critical applications.

Job Summary

The Test Technician will be responsible for testing and trouble-shooting of the following types of equipment, providing technical support to customers over the phone, quoting repair work orders and spare parts orders and field service support on occasion.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), Electrical and Mechanical aptitude, basic skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices, proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment, ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics and parts lists and be comfortable with minor mechanical rework. Required to travel to client sites to perform testing and trouble-shooting on equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

Perform testing and trouble-shooting of the following types of equipment:
SCR Power Controllers - Zero Fired and Phase Fired SCR Controllers
Industrial Power Supplies (Up to 5 MW)
Plasma Power Supplies
AC/DC Power Supplies
Arc Ignitors
Review and recommend Test Procedure changes.
Perform verification testing on PC boards and various assemblies.
Provide Technical support to customers over the phone.
Quote repair work orders and spare parts orders.
Field Service Support on occasion.
Required to travel to client sites to perform testing and trouble-shooting on equipment.
Must be able to work on live (electrical powered) equipment.
Any additional tasks as deemed necessary
