Technical Services Planning Engineer

You main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and developing the OMP, based on AMP recommendations, Mandatory requirements, and in-service experience.
  • Liaising with the Reliability Engineer to analyse the effectiveness of the OMP tasks and schedule.
  • Planning and scheduling of scheduled maintenance tasks and checks in accordance with the operators maintenance programme (OMP).
  • Producing and managing the maintenance forecast for the fleet.
  • Responding and dealing with external factors that could impact on the delivery of the plan.
  • Management of out of phase tasks.
  • Implementation of scheduled tasks the Maintenance Data System (MDS).
  • Management of Life Limited parts through MDS as required by the OMP.
  • Production and monitoring of work packs for the Part 145 organisation(s), including supporting documentation and material requirements.
  • Liaising with the Part 145 organisation(s) and third parties, with regard to scheduled maintenance activities, to ensure that adequate resources are available to achieve the maintenance plan.
  • Attending and/or hosting the planning meetings.
  • Adhering to and updating procedures and processes in order to continuously improve the overall efficiency of the planning team.
  • Perform additional task as required by the Technical Services Manager.

Required Skills

  • Extensive practical experience of aircraft maintenance planning in a CAMO environment, and/or worked on aircraft or maintenance production to gain high levels of awareness of planning tasks, work packs and task cards.
  • Knowledge of EASA part 145 and part M regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to plan in a changing and complex environment.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft systems, engines and/or avionics.
  • Previous experience of large aircraft maintenance is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Fully IT literate, with strong written and verbal communication.
