About Your Job

You will be responsible for coordination of materials requirements in support of ongoing Heavy & Light maintenance checks and ad-hoc maintenance requirements across Qatar Airways fleet, which includes routine and non-routine tasks. You will also ensure proper progress, efficient and continuous material support to the aircrafts within scheduled ground time. You will be instrumental in resolving day to day queries related to preload for the maintenance requirements to ensure material availability maintaining extensive communication with internal departments.

You will review the material requirements for all maintenance activities (heavy and light) received from Centralised Planning and provide feedback within prescribed timeframes as per set QTR procedures. You will work with individual Fleet Planning team in Centralised Planning to ensure that tasks are supported with correct materials and non-availability is communicated well in advance. You should discuss material shortages with respective Technical Material Planner to provide final feedback.  You should maintain up to date status of the spares required on a daily basis once the parts arrive in stores. You will ensure information is passed to Stores in order to clear the parts on a priority basis. You will review airframe/engine manufacturers approved technical documentation to identify alternate and/or interchangeable part numbers so as to ensure the correctness of data for preload.

About You
We are looking candidates with relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification in materials management or logistics. We prefer candidates with University or Engineering Diploma with high grading from a recognized college or university. You should have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience. Preference will be for candidates having experience within an airline or MRO materials planning department. You should ideally have attended materials training courses from an aircraft manufacturer or OEM in the past five years, and familiar with aircraft technical publications and provisioning data.
