About The Job

The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

* Develops programs changes in compliance with FAA regulatory and company requirements.

* Creates and revises aircraft maintenance programs task cards and update OEM manuals.

* Interprets MPD and MRB documents and revisions as applicable to authoring jobs or manuals.

* Develops maintenance program work scopes for aircraft acquisitions and bridging processes as required.

* Maintains metrics designed to measure the progress and effectiveness of initiatives insuring industry best practices are implemented as required.

* Coordinates and communicates with various Technical Operations departments to insure Maintenance Program department policies are in compliance to company and FAA regulatory requirements.

* Performs other duties as directed by Maintenance Programs management including traveling to locations where maintenance is performed.

Qualifications

* A&P certificate preferred; Undergraduate degree in related field, military experience, or equivalent experience/training can be considered in lieu of an A&P.

* At least 3 years aircraft maintenance experience on Part 121 transport category aircraft; Non Part 121, transport category aircraft experience considered.

* Knowledge of Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer aircraft experience preferred.

* Technical writing experience in an aircraft maintenance environment preferred.

* Excellent knowledge in the use of aircraft manuals, vendor manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering documentation, Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB).

* Strong computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

* Aircraft authoring software experience preferred.

* Knowledge of SGML and XML structured data preferred.

* Working knowledge with TIFF, JPG, CGM and/or Raster graphic formats.

* Excellent grammar and proof reading skills required.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to manage large workloads effectively and develop strategies to meet deadlines.

* Good interpersonal and teamwork qualities.

* Willing to work weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
