ABOUT THE ROLE
Job purpose:
This role is accountable to a Value Stream Manager for the smooth operational and delivery of Production activity within Advanced Composites. The role will ensure that operational delivery requirements are achieved. This role will identify resource requirements, tooling, procedures, lean processes, staff management, project support and training / development opportunities.
This role will be accountable to a Value Stream Manager for efficient use of overhead diversions ensuring that all costs are controlled, reported, and managed.
To support change programme across MADG, offer training, guidance and management support as required ensuring this is achieved.

Key Tasks:
•To ensure that all operational tasks are conducted in a safe environment
•To ensure that all required Quality Standards are adhered against
•To understand continuous improvement philosophy
•To ensure that all project budgets are achieved and time booked correctly
•To ensure that all operations training requirements are aligned to process instructions
•To ensure that month end targets are communicated appropriately, and where variation exists that all key stakeholders are informed of issue and recovery plan
•To ensure that the appropriate number of suitably trained staff are available to meet the business demand.
•To coordinate and manage the daily start up meetings, feeding back any issues to the Value Stream Manager as appropriate.
•To ensure that all activities are done within the Company Values

ABOUT YOU
Experience:
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of leading a team or a project.

Key Skills/Competencies:
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to prioritise workload of self and others
•Ability to contribute to decision making process
•Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Good IT skills

Education/Qualifications:
•Good standard of education
•Ideally NVQ level 3 in Management
