About the role:

Network Operations lives and breathes “optimisation” each day and play a pivotal role at Virgin Australia in a number of ways. We set the operation up for success by optimising the productivity of our flight, cabin, training and aircraft resources.

We have multiple opportunities available for Tactical Operations Controller – Crew Resourcing.

As a Tactical Operations Controller – Crew Resourcing, you will be required to maintain Pilot and/ or Cabin Crew rosters, adhere to strict aircrew EBA, CASA and industry compliance, forward planning of crew roster changes, aircrew training rostering and any associated tasks as required.

This role is designed as a training platform for possible succession into a Crew Controller position as required. In this role, you will learn key skills and knowledge to set you up for success in a career within our Operations Control Centre as a Crew Controller.

About you:

You will be a resilient and resourceful self-starter who has a can-do attitude working in a 24/7/365 shift work environment (10-12 hour shift lengths). You will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders and be responsible for the facilitation of published flight and cabin crew roster changes so a high attention to detail and collaborative communication is paramount to be successful within this role.

You will also have;

* Demonstrated understanding of airline or similar logistical operations

* Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong internal / external relationships

* Experience working with complex systems

* Conceptual thinking and problem solving skills

* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* A high attention to detail

* A focus on continuous improvement

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Sabre Aircrews ideal
