T1 ASE Mechanical Supervisor (B4T)

Aeropeople Urgently require a ASE Mechanical Supervisor for an on going contract based at RAF Valley, Wales.

The ASE Mechanical Supervisor is responsible to the ASE Mechanical Senior Supervisor for the efficient and effective management of all ASE activities for HIOS, MOD and MAC contracts at RAF Valley.

Main Tasks:

The ASE Mechanical Supervisors main task is to ensure with the assets available that the contracted output is met.

The main tasks could include but not limited to:
-Establishing a liaison with CAMSS and AMRO at RAF Valley to link in with the Master Hawk Maintenance plan.
-Ensuring that all ASE mechanical maintenance tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, on time and to the highest standard.
-Checking that all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies
-Ensuring all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed
-The production of pre-printed work cards and maintenance procedures
-The overall safety and security of ASE mechanical equipment under his/her control.
-Ensuring that all possible measures are taken to prevent FOD within aircraft and associated equipment.
-Monitoring the prompt handling and distribution of e-mails/messages within the department.
-Monitoring the handling, distribution and satisfaction of engineering instructions (MODs, RTI?s, UTI?s STIs, SIs etc.) and their associated reporting procedures.
-Progressing ASE mechanical tasks and providing documentation as required.
-Carrying out additional duties as required by the ASE Mechanical Senior Supervisor
-Maintaining an effective changeover by debriefs or written log to provide a smooth transition and continuation of trade tasks between each shift (Where/when applicable)
-Champion a culture of Near Miss and Error Reporting and take the lead for subsequent investigations
-Maintaining a PEVL to establish continuity of experience.
-Maintaining engineering standards as detailed in MAOS MAI MRP PART 145 MAINTENANCE ORGANISATION EXPOSITION (MOE) & MRP 145 Approval Supporting Documents. JAP 100E-10 Military Aviation Ground Support Equipment Management & Policy and associated technical data required for all ASE related tasks.
-Maintain Quality standards as required by ISO:9001:2008
-Maintain Health & Safety standards as required by OHAS18001:2007
-Maintain Environmental standards as required by BS EN ISO:14001:2004
-Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential
-3 years industry experience
-Training in Mechanical discipline to City and Guilds Level or equivalent level 3 equivalent (completed an apprenticeship)
-Minimum of 2 years in a fitter position within a related engineering environment
-Supervisors in Aviation
-Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology
-Working knowledge and use of IT Operating Systems (MS Office Suite) and the Internet.

Desirable
-Full Driving License

The successful candidate will be required to undertake MOD security clearance.
