Systems Integration Engineering Manager to manage a new product development team with extensive aerospace engineering, highly customer facing and technical lead based Dorset

We are seeking someone with extensive leadership experience, new product development and management of engineers focussed on developing new products in a commercial environment.

You will provide technical direction and decision making in support of project delivery, manage internal and external resources to successfully deliver multiple projects and ensure project compliance. Developing staff competency and team capability.

Systems Integration Engineering Manager skills
· Leading aerospace equipment development projects
· Leading a large engineering team
· Working with Project Management specialists
· Concurrent engineering
· Customer and supplier liaison
· Strong understanding of mechanical & electrical engineering
· Understanding of the operation and maintenance of military aircraft
· Management of aerospace development projects using a diverse supply base

Main responsibilities
· Establishment of clear requirements baselines for all products prior to commencement of design
· Technical leadership
· Estimation of resource requirements, their procurement and deployment
· Manage staff performance
· Develop team capability by assignment, training, mentoring and coaching
· 10-20% travel (customers & suppliers)
