About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. IOC Support consists of two main functions; Desktop Field Tech Support and Operations Service Management. The Integrated Operations Control (IOC) Desktop Field Support team provides the IOC Operations floor with 24/7 Field Technical support in all facets of end user computing, including software/hardware installations, upgrades, and overall maintenance of the desktops and laptops. Additionally, the Operations Service Management team acts as a 24/7 on-site communication and collaboration liaison between the IOC Operations groups and IT during the daily operation of the airline. The primary focus is on IOC incident management (Severity 1 and 2 outages impacting the IOC and Crew Members) and daily change monitoring; however, the position is available at all times for IT questions from the IOC Director and MODs.

The Systems Analyst role will support the team in multiple ways, including working on reports and business analytics for break/fix tickets called in by the IOC, assisting IOC Desktop System Analysts on unique solutions for IOC Quantum Desktops and monitoring, and providing Vacation Relief for the Operations Technology Service Management (OTSM) 24/7 IOC IT Operations and IOC Desktop Support positions.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Provides desktop and incident management support to IOC Operations groups

* Acts as single point of contact at the IOC for IT Delivery Teams

* Fields technology-related questions from IOC Operations leadership

* Provides technical/functional assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements

* Creates process flows and business flows by collaborating with the development and business teams

* Creates system reference guides and system and process diagrams

* Stays abreast of systems technology best practices and changing technologies to maintain domain expertise and make recommendations for enhancements or changes

* Works weekends, nights, and holidays and remains flexible with changes to work schedule

* Travel may be required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

* 3 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience

* 3 years of infrastructure experience in the airline industry or airport operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years supporting Desktop Technical services

* 5+ years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience

* 5+ years of infrastructure experience in the airline industry or airport operational environment

* Broad understanding of airline operations and familiarity with technologies and applications used in the IOC building (FOS, Telecom, Desktop, operational tools) is preferred

* Proficient in Confluence, Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, or equivalent reporting tools

* ​Experience with Cherwell (or equivalent service management tool) preferred

* Knowledge and expertise of DevOps and ITIL principles preferred

* Knowledge of systems flows, engineering documentation, tools, and architecture concepts

* Overall familiarity with Windows based desktop operating systems including Windows 7 and 10

* Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions

* Ability to define unstructured situations in terms of results and establish a plan to reach them

* Ability to successfully troubleshoot, determine root causes, and implement solutions

* Ability to adapt successfully to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances

* Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

* Ability to follow-up and follow-through on commitments and deliverables

* Ability to lift 30 lbs

* A+ Certification preferred

* MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) / MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred

* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization

* Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

* Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

* Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
