About The Job

​This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This role interacts with business units, technology teams, and the development team in order to improve the products and services being delivered by the IT organization. The role focuses on determining operational objectives by analyzing business functions, gathering technical information, evaluating output requirements, and recommending controls.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Develop thorough knowledge of assigned business area and payroll systems functions

* Determine business requirements, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and track them through the complete development and/or change life-cycle

* Serve as conduit between developers, architects and designers, and with internal business partner and/or vendor companies

* Provide technical/functional assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements

* Create process flows and business flows by collaborating with the development and business teams

* Create system reference guides, training materials, and system and process diagrams

* Stay abreast of systems technology best practices and changing technologies to maintain domain expertise and make recommendations for enhancements or changes

* Travel may be required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

* 3 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience

* 3 years of relevant system development experience

* 3 years of SAP payroll systems experience

* 5+ years of relevant system development experience

* 5+ years of SAP payroll systems experience

* Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions

* Advanced knowledge of systems flows, engineering documentation, tools, and architecture concepts

* Advanced understanding of business systems and industry requirements, and full technical knowledge of systems analysis

* Proficiency in payroll processes, payroll clusters, off-cycle payments, 3rd party remittance, benefits, garnishments, and process models

* Experience with SAP Payroll functional application knowledge

* Experience with US Tax models

* Hands-on experience with PCRs and Schema

* Experience defining unstructured situations in terms of results and establishing a plan to reach them

* Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances

* Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

* Proficient in technical documentation

* Proficient in MS Office applications

* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization

* Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

* Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

* Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
