Supply Chain Manager


Job purpose:

A vacancy exists for a Supply Chain Manager within Marshall Land Systems to manage the Procurement and Supply Chain team to support the business unit deliver its strategic objectives. Functionally reporting to the Head of Procurement Major Projects and to the Head of Commercial within the business unit.

Key Tasks:

*Managing the embedded Procurement and Supply Chain team, guiding mentoring and supporting the professional development of individuals
*Providing Procurement expertise in support of material/services contributions to winning business
*Obtaining value for money in relation to complex Project procurement activity.
*Create open, co-operative relationships within the supply chain and develop strategic relationships within a complex project environment.
*Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating all aspects of Contracts and Service Level Agreements including Terms and Conditions.
*Managing all aspects of resultant contracts to time and budget to support project requirements.
*On-going input into development and continuous improvement of both legacy and new suppliers within the supply chain.
*Ensuring supply chain issues are identified, managed and resolved in a commercially robust and safe manner.
*Close liaison with internal service providers and internal customers to fully capture requirements scope and deliver a Purchasing solution to meet the end users needs.

ABOUT YOU

*Have experience of managing teams.
*Have experience of supporting complex projects with good problem-solving capabilities.
*Be educated to degree level or similar and a member of, or working towards CIPS qualification (Level 5 or higher)
*Preferably have experience of Procurement within the aerospace or defence sector.
*Have experience of managing budgets and good financial awareness.
*Demonstrate experience of procuring both direct equipment and services.
*Have previous experience of supporting technical Procurement activity and chairing cross-functional meetings.
*Be able to create and foster working relationships with internal service providers and internal customers.
*Be confident in drafting and negotiating Service Level Agreements and complex Contracts.
*Be conversant with Trade Controls and Industrial Participation
*Have a track record of self motivation and being the Procurement focal for a major project team
