A global aerospace OEM business is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their supply chain team. The business, headed in North America is a long-standing expert in aerospace and aviation. Please note that this is a field based role.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be required to travel frequently across the UK and Western Europe, as well as occasional visits to Turkey and Israel, giving quality support to the wide range of suppliers.

From the get go, the successful Supplier Quality Engineer will develop and grow within the business leading them into a Supplier Quality Assurance Representative role.

Supplier Quality Engineer Requirements:

  • A formal mechanical engineering apprenticeship and/or have a minimum of 10 years machining and lay out inspection in mechanical aerospace engineering
  • The Supplier Quality Engineer will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures
  • A familiarity with quality documentation, various inspection tools and techniques as well as shop operations and work instructions is desirable
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ASQR-01
  • PPAP, FMEA, RCCA and control plan experience would be advantageous

Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • The Supplier Quality Engineer will conduct focused supplier audits and process certification and Six Sigma Projects.
  • Responsible for PFMEA follow ups and Concession Analysis and resolution
  • Provide on-site quality support and PPAP follow up actions
  • Shadow the Supplier Quality Assurance Representative
