As a Supplier Performance Manager in Moog’s Aircraft Group you can expect to:

Integral to the development, onboarding and growth of suppliers in support of Moog strategic supply chain goals. Lead a cross-functional team to manage supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans. Own tactical responsibility to develop improvement plans for underperforming suppliers and support business reviews. This role sits within Machine Components Group as part of Commodities supporting product lines to include gears, centerlines, prismatics, machine parts, and outside processes.

Here’s what you’ll work on:

You’ll be involved in understanding business product line needs, including supporting cost, delivery and quality improvement programs with existing and new suppliers.

*

Leverage your knowledge of the supply base, current supplier performance, manufacturing best practices, and quality tools.

*

Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and support supplier compliance to customer flowed-down contract requirements (GRESS, PPAP, SIP)

*

Help develop and manage supplier risk mitigation plans. Develop effective performance corrective actions.

*

Proactively support production readiness and capacity analysis reviews.

Use your expertise and capabilities in risk management, quality, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving. Expect up to 40% travel both domestic and International.

Qualifications:

*

Prefer four year Bachelor’s degree in the field of manufacturing/operations or engineering; or a minimum of 8 years in the field of Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality.

*

Proven capabilities in procurement practices, supplier assessments, supplier development and/or customer support.

*

Intimate knowledge of Moog’s quality system and internal processes as it relates to the supply chain.

*

Proven specific capabilities in understanding and communicating technical aspects of the goods and services procured and abilities to form and lead teams.

*

Desirable qualifications would include: Black Belt and/or Six Sigma certification, Lean Certification, Supply Chain Management.

*

Familiarity/knowledge of sensors, motors, bearings, hydraulic assemblies or electro-mechanical assemblies is desirable.
