Established in 1985, the Phoenix Electronics Operations products and services consist of final assembly, test, and integration of electronic controls for commercial and military aircraft with an embedded Repair organization. In this role, the Supervisor accomplishes manufacturing staff results by collaborating with functional support and communicating job expectations to their employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible and accountable for performance to production schedule as well as cell-level financial objectives.
* Safety and Environment
* Work closely with Cell Planners to ensure proper workflow and prioritization. Pull in support resources as required to solve production issues.
* Provide leadership, guidance and direction in the use of the ACE (lean) tools.
* Thoroughly understand manufacturing principles, and apply that knowledge to successfully implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Give feedback on team and individual performance, including rewarding, motivating and disciplining, when necessary.
* Authorize labor hours, overtime and absences, making corrections in the system as necessary.
* Manage the Merit and Performance Review process, including recommending and communicating any compensation changes.
* Manage department staffing needs to include interviewing, candidate selection, etc.
* Encourage and develop decision-making and self-sufficiency in team members.
* Guide teams through problem resolutions by removing barriers, encouraging simplification, focusing on root cause corrective actions and using Statistical Process Control techniques as necessary.
* Serve as meeting facilitator, guiding teams towards effective meeting self-management.

* Identify individual and team-training needs and assure those needs are met, including cross-training plans

Qualification: Minimum Qualifications:

* Experience working with & leading cross functional teams
* Demonstrated leadership and LEAN Six Sigma/Process improvement project experience
* Demonstrated safety and environment experience/accountability
* Experience using Microsoft Office suite- Creating/Updating spreadsheets and documents
* Efficient use of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior Supervisory experience
* Experience using SAP

Education:
* Masters or MBA is preferred
* Bachelors degree with relevant experience required related experience required; manufacturing, electronics or aerospace experience
