Overview

Objectives:

To be part of the Strategic Business Development Team whose main objective is to identify strategic business opportunities that are aligned with the company’s 5-year business plan to increase company revenue, maximize profits and find ways to help the business grow and reach its full potential.

The team is responsible for -

* Evaluation and management of all major or complex strategic programmes
* Establishing new customer / vendor relationships, joint ventures and partnerships
* Feasibility studies on new platforms and inventory solutions for the business
* Provide knowledgeable commercial support to all business lines at all organizational levels

This is a dynamic role and further responsibilities may be added to support Strategic Business Development activity in future in negotiation with the role holder.

Worldwide travel essential.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

* Management and evaluation of complex strategic programmes from concept phase through to product offering including financial analysis and feasibility studies, building business cases and identifying risk
* Communicate, present and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
* Drafting, submitting and delivering proposals / Powerpoint presentations individually tailored to our product offering
* Understand and able to utilise strategic product knowledge and develop product offering
* Ability to enable wider resource
* Negotiation of terms / Letters of Intent / detailed financial analysis and completion of contract financial forecast with business line
* Lead final contract negotiations and handover to business lines for Implementation

* Project management skills, able to set goals, establish timelines, manage risk and have a strong sense of priority
* Assertive, decision maker and has a keen attention to accuracy and detail
* Employs negotiation skills effectively to maximise organisational profits
* Strong communication skills, comfortable communicating and effectively representing the team in discussions with internal or external audiences at all organisational levels. Actively listens and able to articulate clearly
* Strong research and strategic analysis skills
* Ability to sustain, influence and develop relationships with a range of external ad-hoc and contracted customers
* Demonstrates strong team-working behaviours including supporting others through reliability, empathy and sharing of knowledge
* Adaptable and committed to working to overcome challenges. Flexible in terms of worldwide travel, including at short notice, in order to meet the needs of the business
* Proven ability to sustain and develop relationships with a range of external ad-hoc and contracted customers. Experience engaging with a range of clients in one or more geographical region
* Recognises key organisational challenges and enhances development of a ‘one company’ perspective through active promotion of co-ordination between internal departments
* Commercial acumen developed through significant relevant experience in a contracted service environment
* Needs to be organised and able to work under constant pressure
* Ideally candidates will have relevant business analysis or management qualifications
* The ability to fluently communicate in English is required. Similar ability in other languages is a valuable advantage
* Ability to take ownership for the business from a strategic perspective and to maintain existing accounts whilst procuring new business
* Flexible, adaptable and capable of dealing with a variety of different people/customers with different beliefs and cultures
