Stores Inspector needed for immediate start for a permanent position

Excel Technical Consulting are currently actively seeking a Stores Inspector to join a client of ours in their Leading Edge team in Doncaster. The Stores Inspector is a post which has responsibilities across all aspects of Leading Edge – the function is to support Design (DOA), Production (POA) and Maintenance (MOA) with regard to procurement and stores activity. 

 

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Raising and transmission of Purchase Orders (POs), allocated to the correct clients number (DOA) work number (POA) or work order (MOA).

Maintaining Production and Maintenance stores facilities including good received, goods allocated and return of items with specific responsibility for the incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and any EASA/CAA regulations.

Assist the Stores Supervisor or Head of Procurement and Stores with performing periodic checks on personnel tool boxes and maintain appropriate records.

Oversight of junior staff members where appropriate.

Understand and be able to, effectively, operate the maintenance control software

Have a working knowledge of the POA exposition, and carry out your duties in accordance with the approved procedures

Have a working knowledge of the MOA exposition

We will also consider candidates who have worked in warehouses in managerial or inspector roles, you will need to have at least 3 years experience in either.
