The Systems Engineering organization within the Electric Systems division is currently seeking a highly motivated engineer with strong background in modeling and simulation.

Primary Responsibilities

* the creation of models, simulation and analysis on a variety of areas related to aircraft electric systems.
* These areas include electrical machines, AC and DC systems, power generation and distribution, controls, etc.
* The candidate should have demonstrated analytical strength as well as experience working on aerospace systems including electrical, electromagnetic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
* The position requires a person with initiative, strong written and oral communication skills, and willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* The individual must be able to work multiple tasks and provide support to internal and external customers as well as other engineering groups within HS.
* Skills in classical and modern control theory, numerical analysis, computer programming, analysis

Qualification:
Basic Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in modeling, simulation and analysis of electric and mechanical systems
* Physics based modeling
* Dynamic simulation
* Analysis of controls, stability, and signal processing
* Experience using classical and modern control theory
* Matlab experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* SABER experience
* Aerospace experience

Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
* Master’s degree in Controls Engineering required
* PhD desired
