Staff Attorney

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group. This position will report to the Vice President of the Shared Services Organization with a dotted line to the Vice President of Human Resources. The position is located in Middletown, PA.

This position will require candidates with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Candidates will be asked to review, analyze and draft various types of contracts; as well as coordinate with outside counsel on contracting issues.

Additional duties will include general employment law issues, and provide general litigation advice in conjunction with outside counsel. Duties may also include assisting with general legal matters such as responding to complaints and subpoenas. We will consider candidates with less than the preferred qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Juris Doctorate from accredited law school
* Licensed in any states’ bar and in good standing (Pennsylvania preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

* 1 year of commercial contracting experience
* Some familiarity with employment and benefit laws
* Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
* Ability to travel
