Responsibilities

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

*
Defines plans to execute tasks laid out in project plans to achieve goals.

*
Escalates problems and facilitates resolutions to Leadership.

*
Manages risk, action, issues and decisions related to work.

*
Support of the Avtec telephone/Radio System and any related emergent technology.

*
Support of remote radio sites in conjunction with our Technology Department and outside vendors.

*
Support of Network Operations Control (NOC) and Remote Operations Center (ROC) facilities (furniture, lighting, hardware support, and monthly testing).

*
Support of Network Operations Control (NOC) notification systems (Varolli, ER Plan, and Event Notification System) and any related emergent technology.

* Develop and administration of the NOC Instant Messenger System and any related emergent technology.

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

* College coursework or degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

* 5 years experience with relevant technology required.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

* Ability to lift and/or pull medium weight loads (up to 35 lbs) on occasion.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

*
Must be able work well with others as part of a Team; professionally interact with other departments, Internal labor groups, and work well under pressure.

Must be able to take initiative and work independently.

Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Must be able to analyze problems and make sound decisions.

Good written and oral communications skills are required.

Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job.

Must be able to operate multi-line telephone with sufficient courtesy and speed.

Must be able to master current and emergent PC Software packages.

Must possess excellent organizational skills.

Job duties include, but not limited to, detailed work, confidentiality, reading documents, problem-solving, Customer contact, multiple concurrent task, and frequent interruptions.

Must work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects.

* Must be able to effectively communicate verbally, by telephone and face-to-face.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Extended work hours may be required as well as limited travel.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
