Job Summary

Releases engineering SW designs by archiving software, documentation and validating the software build.

Job Responsibilities

* Reviews, validates, corrects and archives engineering master data for software releases (software and documentation)
* Installs and configures development tools required for software rebuilds on multiple operating systems (VMS, Unix, Windows, Linux); troubleshoots rebuild issues with engineering or immediate work unit assistance.
* Completes work through use of various business systems, processes and tools including SAP, Product Data Management (PDM), Export Compliance, Third Party Intellectual Property (TPIP), etc.
* Identifies actual or potential problems in the software release process and assists in creating a solution.
* Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. May be mentor to new librarians.
* Contacts are primarily with immediate work unit and internal engineering customers. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Tasks have moderate technical complexity.
* Considerable knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with work and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

High School Diploma or equivalent
