Job Summary

Join a fast growing research team focused on developing new and innovative technologies to ensure the security of connected aircraft, tactical datalinks, and other embedded systems.

Collins Aerospace is seeking engineers knowledgeable in embedded system and software design to support a diverse portfolio of research and development activities within our Advanced Technology team. The primary responsibility of this role is in the research and development new technology innovations in securing cyber physical systems. The candidates will have an opportunity to build prototypes of new offensive and defensive security technologies and apply them to real-world systems. The person in this role should be self-motivated, serving as an accomplished software engineer for new technology developments. As part of our team, candidates will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to new research we are doing in embedded system security.

Job Responsibilities

* Serve as a technical lead for complex software development projects using languages such as C, Java, and Python

* Participate in teams of hardware, software, and systems engineers to develop, integrate, and evaluate new cyber security technologies

* Periodically support technical proposal preparation of government-sponsored science and technology research

* The candidate must possess a Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, or Engineering degree

* A strong understanding of operating system, computer architecture, and software fundamentals.

* The ideal candidate will possess embedded system and software engineering experience.

Basic Qualifications

* The candidate must possess a STEM degree along with a strong understanding of operating system, computer architecture, and security fundamentals.

* The candidate must have at least ten years of security-related engineering experience.

* The ideal candidate will possess previous R&D and technical proposal preparation experience
